It’s the second Top-10 matchup of the season for the Florida Gators as the travel to Syracuse on Friday night in the marquee matchup of the Big East/SEC Challenge. The Orange opened as solid favorites on Bodog’s NCAA basketball odds.

Get all your NCAA basketball odds at Bodog’s online sportsbook.

Here is an oddity for the Gators: They have played in the Carrier Dome six times and have won five of those. But none have come against host Syracuse; all were in the NCAA Tournament. Florida has played Syracuse three times, all on a neutral court, with the Orange winning twice. Florida’s only win came in November 2005 in Madison Square Garden.

Florida has won four in a row since an 81-74 loss at now-No. 2 Ohio State back on Nov. 15, and all four have been by double digits. The Gators gave coach Billy Donovan his 400th career win with a 96-50 blowout of Stetson on Nov. 28 in Orlando. Superstar freshman Bradley Beal had by far his best game so far with 22 points and 10 rebounds. The Gators played without two rotation players in that one. Starting forward Erik Murphy suffered an injury in his right knee in practice and swingman Casey Prather was nursing a groin strain.

The concern was Murphy tore a ligament, but it’s apparently just a bruise. He won’t play in this game but could be back next week. Murphy (6-10, 229) started Florida's first four games, averaging 10 points and four rebounds, before injuring the knee. Prather should play Friday night.

Syracuse (7-0) will face its first ranked and first likely NCAA Tournament opponent in the Gators. The Orange crushed Eastern Michigan 84-48 at home on Tuesday night in their first game since longtime Jim Boeheim assistant Bernie Fine was fired for accusations of child abuse years ago. Syracuse hit a season-high 13 3-pointers against EMU. Kris Joseph is the SU star, leading the team in points (14.7) and second in rebounds (5.7).

UF is the first team this season to face two Top-5 teams. A win would be the highest-ranked team that Florida has beaten on the road. Gators are 1-1 ATS this season. SU is 5-1 ATS and 4-0 ATS at home.

The Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers will be looking to pull off a road upset on Monday night as they take their Horizon League credentials to DePaul to battle the Big East's Blue Demons on the college hoops betting.

Get all your NCAA BBall odds at Bodog.

The Panthers have lost just once over their first eight games of the season, falling 68-55 on the road against the Big Ten's Michigan State Spartans back on November 23.

Kaylon Williams led the Wisconsin-Milwaukee attack in that contest with 14 points, while James Haarsma was good for 13 points and eight rebounds in the losing cause.

DePaul will be just the second school from a major conference that the Panthers have faced this season – their seven wins came against Southwest State, Northern Illinois, IUPUI, Texas Southern, Arkansas Little Rock, Loyola Chicago, and Illinois Chicago.

That game against Illinois Chicago was the Panthers' last outing on Saturday, and they squeaked out a 73-71 win at home in overtime. Kyle Kelm had a team-high 18 points for the Panthers in that game, with Haarsma adding 14 points on the day.

DePaul hasn't hit the hardwood since last Thursday, when they lost 70-68 at home against Mississippi. Brandon Young picked up 18 points for the Blue Demons in that loss, while Cleveland Melvin contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds.

DePaul's other loss came back on November 24 against Minnesota, while the Blue Demons' victories this season have come over Texas Pan American, Mississippi Valley State, Texas Tech, and Arizona State as their record stands at 4-2.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee and DePaul met last December as well, with the Blue Demons rolling to a 61-47 win at home as a 1.5-point favorite on the betting lines. The combined score made that contest an UNDER play.

After taking care of a couple of cupcake opponents in their last two games, the Memphis Tigers will get a tougher test on Tuesday night as they take on Miami on the road in a college basketball betting matchup.

Get your odds for the NCAA basketball season at Bodog.

The Tigers are coming off back-to-back wins over Jackson State and Austin Peay, beating the Governors 91-60 in their last game on Saturday. Will Barton led the way for Memphis in the win with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Adonis Thomas had 17 points.

Memphis is now 4-2 straight up and 2-3 against the spread on the season, beating Austin Peay, Jackson State, Belmont, and Tennessee but coming up short against both Michigan and Georgetown.

The Hurricanes bounced back from consecutive losses to Mississippi and Purdue to get past Massachusetts 83-75 in their last game on Saturday. Miami is now 5-2 straight up on the season and 2-2-1 against the spread.

Durand Scott was good for 16 points for the Hurricanes against the Minutemen, with Malcolm Grant adding 15 points in the contest. Trey McKinney Jones picked up 10 points while grabbing eight rebounds in the win.

Miami had started the year with wins over Tennessee Tech, Rutgers, North Florida, and Florida Gulf Coast.

Memphis and Miami met last November, with the Tigers winning 72-68 as a 6.5-point home favorite in that UNDER result. Scott had a game-high 20 points in that losing cause for the Hurricanes.

Overall Memphis is 2-3 straight up and 1-3 against the spread in its last five games against Miami, but prior to last season the schools hadn't met since back in 2000.

Coming off a big win on the road against Wisconsin, the Marquette Golden Eagles will be trying to keep their perfect record intact on Tuesday night as they take on Washington on the college basketball betting board.

Get ALL your NCAA odds at Bodog.

The Golden Eagles improved to 7-0 straight up and 3-1 against the spread on Saturday with a 61-54 win over Wisconsin. Darius Johnson-Odom led the way with 17 points for Marquette in that contest, while Todd Mayo was good for 14 points in that day's win.

That was the Golden Eagles' signature win so far this season; they also thumped Mississippi 96-66, and earned their other victories over lesser-lights Mount St. Mary's, Norfolk State (twice), Winthrop, and Jacksonville.

Washington was tagged with its second loss in three games on Friday, falling 76-73 on the road against Nevada in overtime. Terrence Ross poured in 18 points for the Huskies in that defeat, while C.J. Wilcox and Tony Wroten each picked up 14 points on the day.

The Huskies also lost on the road 77-64 to Saint Louis on November 20 while beating Georgia State, Florida Atlantic, Portland, and Houston Baptist. Washington enters Tuesday's game at 4-2 straight up and 2-3 against the spread on the season.

Marquette and Washington met in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2010, with the Huskies pulling out an 80-78 win in that contest en route to a berth in the Sweet Sixteen. Johnson-Odom had 19 points for the Golden Eagles in that loss.

The Golden Eagles had been favored by 1.5 points in that OVER result back in 2010.

Meeting in their fourth straight December matchup on the college basketball odds board at the Bodog Sportsbook, the Xavier Musketeers and the Butler Bulldogs will hit the hardwood at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.

Get your NCAA odds now.

Xavier got past Butler 51-49 at home when the teams met last December, winning as a 2-point underdog in an UNDER result. Butler won the previous two matchups between the schools, but managed to cover the posted spread in just one of those contests.

Tu Holloway scored 10 points and added five assists for Xavier in their win over Butler last season, while Matt Howard led the way for the Bulldogs with 17 points in that defeat.

This season Xavier sits at a perfect 6-0 (and 2-2 against the spread) after getting past Purdue 66-63 in their last game on Saturday. Holloway poured in 21 points for the Musketeers in that victory, and Mark Lyons picked up 14 points and six rebounds.

Xavier's previous five wins came against Morgan State, IPFW, Miami-Ohio, Georgia, and Vanderbilt.

The Bulldogs haven't been able to string together more than two consecutive victories so far this season, putting them at 4-4 straight up and an ugly 0-5 against the spread through eight games.

Butler lost 77-71 against Valparaiso in overtime in their last game on Saturday, with Ronald Nored scoring a team-high 17 points in that loss. Roosevelt Jones and Kameron Woods had 10 points apiece in the contest.

The Bulldogs have also managed to lose to Evansville, Louisville, and Indiana this season, while getting past Chattanooga, Savannah State, Gardner-Webb, and Oakland City.

Just a few years ago, UCLA’s Ben Howland was considered among a handful of the nation’s top college basketball coaches and had indefinite job security after leading the Bruins to three straight Final Fours starting in the 2005-06 season. But now Howland’s job status seems very tenuous with poor recruiting classes and a 2-5 record to start this season when the Bruins were chosen as Pac-12 favorites.

Get all your NCAA basketball odds at Bodog’s online sportsbook.

And things aren’t looking up for UCLA as it will be without forward Reeves Nelson, the team’s leading returning scorer and rebounder, indefinitely after he was suspended for a second time this season by Howland. Nelson will not be allowed to practice or play with the team until further notice. This suspension was handed down after Nelson was seen laughing and joking with teammates and fans in the closing moments of UCLA's 69-59 loss to Texas on Saturday after he was benched in the second half because of poor play in the first half

Nelson was suspended Nov. 14 (it turned out for five days) after failing to participate in team huddles during timeouts of the Bruins' season opener against and then getting into a verbal altercation with Howland the next day at a team film session. Howland has not ruled out the possibility of permanently dismissing Nelson from the team.

Last season, Nelson played an average of 31.3 minutes per game and was named All-Pac-10. Since his first suspension this season, his minutes have dropped to 16.8 per game and he played only 12 minutes against Texas. Nelson led the Bruins with averages of 13.9 points and 9.1 rebounds last season. He is averaging 5.7 points and 4.5 rebounds this season.

UCLA, which is next in action Saturday vs. Pennsylvania, hasn’t advanced past the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament since the last of those three straight Final Four appearances. If the Bruins somehow miss out on the Big Dance this year, Howland likely is a goner. UCLA’s only two wins this season are over lightweights Chaminade and Pepperdine.

Bob Huggins will return to the state of Kansas on Thursday as his West Virginia Mountaineers take on his old team, the Kansas State Wildcats, in a college basketball betting matchup.

Get all your NCAA basketball odds at Bodog.

Huggins coached at Kansas State in 2006-07, going 23-12 and falling in the second round of the NIT before bolting for West Virginia.

The Mountaineers are coming off a loss to a ranked opponent, falling 75-62 on the road against No. 21 Mississippi State last Saturday. That put West Virginia at 4-2 on the season, and they're 2-2 against the spread heading into Thursday's game.

Deniz Kilicli and Kevin Jones each scored 14 points for West Virginia in that losing cause, with Jones also grabbing a team-high nine rebounds on the day. Darryl Bryant was good for 13 points in that loss for the Mountaineers.

West Virginia's other loss this season came against Kent State back on November 15; they've been able to beat Oral Roberts, Alcorn State, Morehead State, and Akron.

Kansas State, meanwhile, has been able to beat all comers this season, starting the year by knocking off Charleston Southern, Loyola Chicago, Maryland Eastern Shore, George Washington, and Virginia Tech.

At 5-0 straight up, the Wildcats are also 2-1 against the spread so far this season.

Jamar Samuels had a big game for Kansas State in their win over the Hokies last time out, scoring 17 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Shane Southwell was their only other player in double digits, tossing in 11 points on the day.

The Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers have faced the Wisconsin Badgers 16 times in the past 16 years – and they're 0-16 in those games. The Panthers will look to finally tag a loss on the Badgers on Tuesday night when the schools meet on the college basketball betting board.

Get all your NCAA basketball odds at Bodog.

The Badgers are 8-2 straight up and 6-1 against the spread so far this season but they're a perfect 8-0 against unranked teams like the Panthers – their only losses so far have come against North Carolina (then No. 5) and Marquette (then No. 16).

Wisconsin took on UNLV at home last time out, winning that game by a final score of 62-51. Ben Brust stood out on offense for the Badgers against the Rebels, scoring a game-high 25 points on the day. Jared Berggren added nine points, and Mike Bruesewitz picked up six points and 10 rebounds.

The Panthers are also 8-2 straight up on the season, but they've burned their backers at only 2-5 against the spread. Wisconsin-Milwaukee's losses came against Michigan State back on November 23 and against Northern Iowa on Saturday.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee fell 67-51 on the road in their game against Northern Iowa, with Kaylon Williams providing a team-high 16 points in the losing cause. Kyle Kelm had 12 points on the day, and Ryan Allen pitched in with eight points and nine rebounds.

The Panthers were 19.5-point underdogs in their game against the Badgers last season, failing to cover the spread in a 61-40 road loss. Overall Wisconsin has managed to post an 8-7 ATS mark against Wisconsin-Milwaukee since 1995.

The UNLV Rebels will put their perfect home record on the line on Wednesday night as they play host to the UTEP Miners in a featured college basketball betting matchup at the Bovada Sportsbook.

Get all your NCAA basketball odds today.

The Rebels still have some work to do to slip into the Top 25 of the AP college hoops poll, as evidenced by their 62-51 loss at Wisconsin last time out. Chace Stanback was the bright spot on offense for UNLV in that contest, scoring 16 points, while Mike Moser led the way under the basket with 11 rebounds in the loss.

That result put UNLV at 9-2 straight up and 5-4 against the spread on the season, but they're 6-0 at the Thomas & Mack Center heading into their game against the Miners.

UTEP is just 2-4 straight up (3-1 against the spread) on the season, digging themselves a hole with losses in four of their first five games. The Miners, though, are coming off a 73-69 win at home over New Mexico State in their last game on Sunday.

Michael Perez picked up 19 points for UTEP in that contest to pace the Miners offense, while Gabriel McCulley was good for 18 points and 13 rebounds. Julian Washburn tossed in 16 points in the win over the Aggies on the weekend.

UNLV has faced UTEP twice in the past four years, winning and covering the posted spread in both of those contests – once at home in 2007, and once on the road in 2008. The OVER/UNDER went 1-1 in those two games.

Expect to see Ohio State star and National Player of the Year candidate Jared Sullinger miss his third straight game tonight when the second-ranked Buckeyes host what should be an overmatched USC Upstate team.

Get all your NCAA basketball odds at Bovada’s online sportsbook.

Sullinger has been dealing with back spasms. The 6-foot-9 Sullinger is able to run, jump and shoot. But he still hasn't been cleared to play. The Buckeyes missed him Saturday, suffering their first loss of the season at No. 12 Kansas. Yet OSU (8-1) still remained at No. 2 in the new polls this week, likely because voters realized Sullinger as out.

The Buckeyes’ All-America center, who is averaging 19.1 points (on 62.2 percent shooting) and 10.3 rebounds, is close to progressing to the last stage of the rehab he must complete before being cleared to resume competition. Sullinger is being called doubtful for tonight’s game but there is a solid chance he will return for Saturday’s game at South Carolina. Tonight against the Spartans, OSU will try for its 31st consecutive home victory, which would be the second-longest streak in program history. The record is 50 from 1959 to ’64.

South Carolina Upstate (6-4) is from the Atlantic Sun Conference. It has played a few major schools this year, losing the season opener by 20 to Arkansas and falling by only four at a good Dayton team last time out. Torrey Craig is the team’s star, leading in points (16.9) and rebounds (7.6). USC Upstate uses nearly its entire bench, with 11 players averaging at least 10 minutes a game. Upstate is in its fifth season of NCAA Division I competition. It is 0-19 vs. opponents from the six BCS conferences.

With eight straight wins to start the season, the Baylor Bears will look for No. 9 on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Provo, Utah to face the BYU Cougars in a college basketball betting matchup at Bovada's online sportsbook.

Get all your NCAA basketball odds today.

Baylor is up to No. 6 in the rankings, although they haven't received much of a test so far this season - with their biggest wins coming against San Diego State (77-67) in November and Northwestern (69-41) last weekend.

The Bears took on Bethune-Cookman at home in their last game on Wednesday night, winning handily 69-42 using a balanced offensive attack. Pierre Jackson tossed in 12 points for Baylor that night, and Quincy Aby picked up 10 points and seven boards.

BYU has won eight of 10 games this season, falling in their opener at Utah State (69-62) and getting thumped by then-No. 11 Wisconsin 73-56 on November 26.

Since losing to the Badgers the Cougars have won four straight games, capping off that streak by beating Utah 61-42 on the road in their last game last Saturday.

Noah Hartsock had 19 points and grabbed seven boards for the Cougars that day against the Utes, while Charles Abouowas was good for 11 points and six rebounds.

If Baylor can get past BYU on Saturday they'll next have a gimme game against Paul Quinn before getting into some tougher matchups that'll really make them earn their high ranking: St. Mary's, West Virginia, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M.

The Cougars have Buffalo, UCSB, and Cal St. San Marcos next up on their schedule before their West Coast Conference slate gets underway at St. Mary's on December 29.

After a six-year layoff, Memphis and Louisville are restoring arguably the most storied rivalry in Tigers basketball history on Saturday in Louisville on national television (CBS, 4 p.m, Eastern). Louisville, one of a handful of unbeatens left in the country, is a solid 9.5-point favorite on Bovada’s NCAA basketball betting odds.

The No. 4 Cardinals (9-0, 4-2 ATS) have had only one true close call so far this season, beating then-No. 19 Vanderbilt by two points. Since then, Louisville has blown out IUPUI and, last Saturday, Farleigh Dickson 80-58. Leading scorer Kyle Kuric scored 18 points and Gorgui Deng added 14 points and 12 rebounds to lift Louisville (No. 4 ESPN/USA Today, No. 5 AP) over FDU for its 17th straight win at the KFC Yum! Center. This game is the start of a much more challenging schedule as in addition to Memphis, the Cardinals' upcoming schedule also features meetings with Georgetown on Dec. 28 and top-ranked Kentucky on Dec. 31.

Two Louisville players didn’t play against FDU, guard Russ Smith and forward Rakeem Buckles. Smith had a sore neck while Buckles was simply rested after he made his season debut the game previously. Both should play in this one.

Memphis (5-3, 3-4 ATS) was knocked out of the Top 25 after perennial Ohio Valley Conference contender Murray State, under first-year coach Steve Prohm, scored a 76-72 upset of Memphis last Sunday. Will Barton led Memphis with 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting, while Joe Jackson had 20 and Tarik Black 11. Chris Crawford's 3-point attempt for Memphis with 6 seconds left could have tied the game, but it was off the mark. In its three losses, Memphis has allowed opponents to shoot 48.6 percent from the field.

The last time Memphis played Louisville, Tigers point guard Darius Washington missed two free throws that would have given Memphis the victory in the Conference USA championship game in 2005; UL won 75-74.

It’s a rematch of a second-round NCAA Tournament game from last year when UNLV, which already has upset No. 1 North Carolina this season, visits unbeaten and No. 19 Illinois on Saturday.

Get all your NCAA basketball odds at Bovada’s online sportsbook.

The Illini (10-0) have been a bit of a surprise as Illinois has six freshmen, a transfer and four other players taking much bigger roles this season. UNLV is the best team the Illini will have faced so far, although they did beat good clubs in Richmond and Gonzaga. Illinois warmed up for this one with an 80-63 home win over Coppin State on Sunday. Leading scorer D.J. Richardson had 20 points and Illinois shot 56 percent from the floor against Coppin State's zone defense, including a season-best 10 three-pointers. Illinois is 7-0 at home this season, but this one is at Chicago’s United Center, where the Illini have lost two straight and four of their last five.

UNLV (10-2) has stumbled a bit since beating the Tar Heels, losing two of its past four games, although it was too good teams Wichita State and ranked Wisconsin. It’s a much quicker turnaround for the Rebels as they beat UTEP 65-54 on Wednesday. Anthony Marshall scored 16 of his 20 points in the second half as the Rebels closed the game on a 16-6 run.

Back on March 18, Illinois beat UNLV 73-62 in Tulsa in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. UNLV was down 46-24 at halftime and couldn’t recover. The Illini lost their three leading scorers, who combined for 45 points against the Rebels. But Vegas played that game without the nation’s second-leading rebounder this season in Mike Moser, who was sidelined. Moser averages 14.0 points and 12.3 rebounds a game this season. The Illinois player who could give UNLV the most trouble this time is 7-foot-1 center Meyers Leonard, who averages 13.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. He also shoots 64 percent from the floor, which ranks in the top 30 nationally.

Last weekend, the nation’s top two teams went on the road against BCS conference opponents and were beaten. Will that trend continue this week when top-ranked Syracuse plays its first road game of the season on Saturday, visiting dangerous N.C. State?

Get all your NCAA basketball odds at Bovada’s online sportsbook.

Syracuse is back atop the polls for the first time since the end of the 2009-2010 regular season. The Orange improved to 10-0 for the third straight season with last Saturday’s 85-50 blowout of George Washington. Dion Waiters had 19 points and six steals, both career highs, to lead Syracuse. The Orange entered the game ranked first in the nation in steals, averaging 12.5 a game, and second in turnover margin at plus-8.2, trailing only Ohio State. And SU had six steals and forced 18 total turnovers against GW.

N.C. State (6-3) has played a good schedule so far, beating Texas but losing to Vanderbilt (NCSU’s sixth straight loss to a ranked team dating to last season), Indiana and Stanford. The Wolfpack warmed up for this one with a 65-60 win over NC Central last Sunday. The game was closer than it should have been largely because leading scorer C.J. Leslie, hamstrung by foul trouble, finished with three points and was held to single-figure scoring for the first time this season.

Rebounding could be a key here as in its past two games, SU has been outrebounded by much smaller teams. N.C. State is No. 3 in the ACC in rebounding margin, while Syracuse is just No. 9 in the Big East in the same category. N.C. State outrebounded the Orange 39-33 last season in its 65-69 Carrier Dome loss to SU. This will be just the second time in school history that the Wolfpack will play host to a non-conference game against a No. 1 team. N.C. State is 5-26 all-time against No. 1 teams, including 3-8 at home.

The LSU Tigers will be the 11th team to get a shot at ruining the Marquette Golden Eagles' perfect record on Monday night. The two schools meet in Baton Rouge in a college hoops betting matchup at Bovada's online sportsbook.

Get all your college basketball betting lines today.

Marquette, at No. 11 in last week's rankings, has taken care of all comers so far this season, going 10-0 straight up in 10 games while beating the likes of Mississippi (96-66), Wisconsin (61-54), and Washington (79-77).

The Golden Eagles' most recent game came on Saturday when they rolled to a 93-72 victory over Northern Colorado. Jae Crowder was good for 19 points and 11 rebounds for Marquette that day, while Todd Mayo picked up a team-high 22 points in the victory.

But while Marquette has yet to lose this season, they've been less successful covering the spread for their backers – they're just 3-5 against the spread this year, and 2-4 ATS as the favorite. The OVER/UNDER has gone 5-2 in games involving the Golden Eagles.

The Tigers are 7-3 straight up on the season and have won four straight games over Houston, Rutgers, Boise State, and UC Irvine. The contest against the Anteaters was their most recent outing last Thursday; they won 66-59 behind a 14-point, 11-rebound effort from Justin Hamilton. Eddie Ludwig provided secondary scoring with 12 points.

LSU, though, has been tagged with losses by each of Coastal Carolina, Northwestern, and South Alabama this season, and they've yet to play a ranked school. Bettors, however, have seen the Tigers go 6-2 against the spread, with their OVER/UNDER at 2-6.

Tipoff time for the Marquette/LSU matchup on Monday is set for 9:00pm ET, with the college hoops line and total for the contest available at Bovada's online sportsbook.

The struggling Butler Bulldogs will be looking to get a bit of traction on Tuesday night as they travel to Spokane to take on the Gonzaga Bulldogs in a college hoops betting matchup at Bovada's online sportsbook.

Get all your NCAA basketball odds today.

Butler had lost three games in a row to Valparaiso, Xavier, and Ball State before finally getting back into the win column with a 67-65 victory over Purdue at home on Saturday. That put them at 5-6 straight up and 1-6-1 against the spread on the year.

Butler also lost to Evansville, Louisville, and Indiana over the first month of the season.

Andrew Smith and Kameron Woods each tossed in 12 points for Butler in their win over Purdue on the weekend, with Chase Stigall picking up 11 points on the day. Ronald Nored grabbed seven rebounds.

Gonzaga stumbled against Illinois and Michigan State to begin their December slate, but they're coming off consecutive wins over Oral Roberts and Arizona. Gonzaga is now 7-2 straight up and 4-5 against the spread on the season.

Gonzaga beat Eastern Washington, Washington State, Hawaii, Western Michigan, and Notre Dame to begin their 2011 campaign.

Against Arizona on Saturday Gonzaga grabbed a 71-60 win at the KeyArena in Seattle, as Elias Harris picked up 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Kevin Pangos added 11 points to go along with eight assists in the contest, and Robert Sacre had 10 points.

Butler and Gonzaga have one previous meeting back in November 2006, with Butler winning 79-71 as a 5-point road underdog in that OVER result. This season Gonzaga sits at 3-5-1 on the OVER/UNDER, with Butler boasting a 5-3 mark on the totals.

The Cowboys are coming off back-to-back losses to Pittsburgh and New Mexico, putting them at 6-4 straight up and 4-4 against the spread on the season.

Against New Mexico on Saturday the Cowboys were down 36-26 at halftime and didn't manage to come back in a 66-56 home loss. Keiton Page poured in 18 points for Oklahoma State in that contest, while Jean-Paul Olukemi added 16 points in the loss.

Philip Jurick grabbed 11 boards for Oklahoma State in the game against New Mexico.

The Crimson Tide won their first seven games of the season, but since then have picked up losses in three of four outings to sit at 8-3 straight up and an ugly 3-5 against the spread on the year.

Alabama last played on Saturday as well, falling 71-58 on the road to Kansas State in a game that knocked them out of the Top 25 of the AP Poll. JaMychal Green led the way with 20 points and nine rebounds for the Crimson Tide in that losing cause.

Trevor Releford was good for 14 points and six assists for Alabama on Saturday.

The Memphis Tigers and No. 16 Georgetown Hoyas will meet for the second time this season as they battle at the Verizon Center in college hoops betting action.

Bet on NCAA basketball with Bovada's online sportsbook today.

Memphis and Georgetown met back in late November as well, with the Hoyas winning 91-88 in overtime as a 2-point favorite in the fifth-place game at the Maui Invitational tournament in Hawaii. That combined scored went well OVER the day's posted total.

Jason Clark led the way with 26 points for the Hoyas in that contest, with Henry Sims adding 24 points and eight rebounds in the win. Hollis Thompson and Markel Starks each picked up 12 points for Georgetown that day.

Will Barton poured in 22 points in a losing cause for Memphis in Hawaii, and Joe Jackson chipped in with 20 points for the Tigers. Tarik Black scored 12 points.

That victory came as part of Georgetown's current seven-game winning streak, which has them at 9-1 straight up and 5-0 against the spread on the season. The Hoyas last played on Saturday against American, winning that game by a score of 81-55.

The Tigers are just 6-4 straight up and 3-4-1 against the spread on the season, putting an end to a two-game skid on Monday night with an 85-75 home win over Lipscomb. Adonis Thomas had a game-high 18 points for Memphis against the Bisons.

Memphis and Georgetown have met four times over the past four years, with the Hoyas going 3-1 both straight up and against the spread in those games. All four of the matchups ended up as OVER results for totals bettors.

On the college hoops futures board Georgetown currently sits at 9/1 to win the Big East this season.

The Pittsburgh Panthers will be looking to put an end to a three-game skid against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Tuesday night when those schools meet on Bovada's online betting lines.

Pittsburgh will also be trying to bounce back from an upset loss at home to Wagner last time out, as they were beaten 59-54 by the Seahawks in their December 23 game. Ashton Gibbs tossed in a team-high 14 points for the Panthers in that defeat.

That put an end to the Panthers' nine-game winning streak, and they're 11-2 straight up and 3-5 against the spread heading into their game against Notre Dame on Tuesday.

The Fighting Irish are 8-5 straight up but 0-7 against the spread through the first two months of the season, and they're coming off an easy 106-65 win over lowly Sacred Heart in their last game. Jack Cooley had 19 points and eight boards in that win for Notre Dame.

The Panthers are ranked No. 22 this week, and the Fighting Irish have had problems with ranked teams so far this season – they've lost to Missouri, Gonzaga, and Indiana.

Still, Notre Dame is riding that three-game winning streak against Pittsburgh as the schools meet in this Big East matchup on Tuesday night, and the Fighting Irish managed to cover the posted spread in each of those three contests as well.

Over the last 10 meetings between the schools the Panthers have a 6-4 straight up record, but they only covered the spread in three of those contests. As well, totals bettors have seen the UNDER pay out in each of the last three matchups between the teams.

Coming off a forgettable campaign, the Utah Jazz will be looking to tip off their 2011-12 season on the right foot on Tuesday night as they travel down to Los Angeles to face the Lakers in an NBA betting matchup at Bovada's online sportsbook.

Get your basketball odds today.

The Jazz ended up 39-43 last season, which put them in fourth place in the Northwest Division standings and seven games back of the Memphis Grizzlies for the eighth and final playoff berth in the conference.

And that was with star point guard Deron Williams in the lineup for part of the season; Williams of course was dealt to the New Jersey Nets in the middle of the year.

That leaves Al Jefferson as the team's top returning scorer; Jefferson averaged 18.6 points per game last season, just ahead of fellow returnee Paul Millsap at 17.3 points per game. Devin Harris assumes Williams' job as the team's point guard this season.

Utah gets a big test out of the gates on Tuesday when they take on the Lakers, who opened their season on Sunday with an 88-87 home loss to the Bulls but have managed to win eight of their last 10 meetings with the Jazz.

Los Angeles is also 7-3 against the spread in their past 10 matchups with Utah, although the Jazz did squeeze out an 86-85 road win over the Lakers on the road in their last meeting last April. That was the second straight UNDER result between the teams.

Overall, the Lakers and Jazz have gone 4-5-1 on the OVER/UNDER in their past 10 games.
