This one follows the last tip. I see a lot of players look at another player's final bet, look at the hand, & say "I know you've got me, but I have to keep you honest," as they throw in a final call. It may be worth it to see if a player really has the hand if you're not sure & you're gaining information that will help you later on, but if you really feel a player has the hand he's representing & you're beat, why give him another pile of your money? Those bets will add up over an evening.

Hi,

I agreed with rita smith question, actually sometimes peoples use to say that this the game of luck, even i too agreed with moin13 that there is no game on earth based on luck.
But i thought still there is 50 - 50 luck and strategies, as i am the beginner not knowing more but by reading these threads i learn a lot.

It is really great to be a part of this forum, as i found this very informative.

Thanks!

While playing online, no one can read your gestures. So to win in online poker combination of skills and luck plays a very major role.

I was just wondering, I am fairly new to Texas-Hold Em' but I have been doing well at the Bodog chip tables, when do I know that I am ready to play for Cash? I know that playing at chip tables is not really compareable to cash games (players are more reckless) but is there a way to tell that I would do well in a cash game, other than just paying up and taking my chances? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
