To kick off the greatly anticipated North American Poker Tour, several big-name pros and celebrities will show up to the Venetian on Friday at 5 p.m. to play in the NAPT’s charity poker event, a $500 rebuy tournament that will raise money for Three Squares.

Three Squares is a Las Vegas charity that provides food to more than 270 not-for-profit and faith-based organizations around the great Southern Nevada area with its goal being to “end hunger.”

“We are pleased to be a part of such a prestigious event,” said Julia A. Murray, the president and CEO of Three Square. “Hunger is a large and growing issue in our valley. It is with the help of dedicated organizations like PokerStars-net and the support of charity-minded celebrities that we can make significant advances in our battle against hunger in Southern Nevada.”

A number of professional poker players have committed to the event, among them Daniel Negreanu, Chris Moneymaker, Joe Cada, and Vanessa Rousso.

PokerStars has 2 step freerolls to NAPT events. The NAPT Lucky 7's final freeroll has a $7,000 NAPT 1st place prize package, and also $1000 spread over the next 99 places.

You can find them in the regional tournament section.

I love playing in these freerolls. They are not that bad. Play tight at first as there are your usual donks just betting the house on anything.
