Perhaps it would be an idea to post a sticky for new members and older non active members -

re: active membership

i notice a lot of new members come on and post replies (1 liners) to a gazillion 😁 posts but I don't think they realise that this is NOT the way to become active.

maybe it needs to be more clearly defined

i know there are other stickys and posts similar - but i mean one specific sticky clarifying the requirements.

btw. if it's already somewhere i haven't found it

just a suggestion!

Use common sense here, stop by and make sensable posts and replys 2 or 3 times per week, and you will soon be noticed. This is my advice.,for what its worth.

I think that it is really disappointing that so many people want something for nothing and can't see the good in things. I am new here but everywhere I go within this site people are complaining about not getting passwords, or how many posts they have to do to be active. Come on people, this should be fun! Take some time and get to know your fellow gamers and be patient, good things come to those who wait.

I agree with you, although it must be noted that there was not a requirement before and the passwords were posted in the regular forum and so some people may not actually be new, but rather, like me, somewhat busy older members who used to play the ixgames FRs (and miss them). πŸ˜‰

Still, having them restricted is good because it narrows the field considerably and I find that I do much better in those types of tournies because fish are so unpredictable and there does seem to be a direct correlation between a person's willingness to contribute and their 'fishiness' LOL

Although I will say, making requirements more transparent so that they can be understood more clearly could be especially useful for peeps like me who really want to contribute but just DO NOT have time to be a top poster. It's all about optimal foraging! LOL

LOL Being new makes me a little more tolerant, I would imagine, than those that have been members for some time now and are having difficulties with obtaining passwords for tourneys. And I do see your point that requirements should be made more clear so that people are aware of what to expect, so there is less frustration and anger.

I couldn't agree more that when people have to give a little something, even if it is time, they are less willing to play so shady and are more willing to play like they know how to. lol

Wishing you all the best in your foraging and gaming! 😁

I agree that people should just star their own threads and post quality replies toother threads. That seems pretty simple, doesn't it.

Good luck on and off the felts..

Yup congrats on the mod position. And from what I can see or have read you are doing an awsome job. Manne and ixgames have an asset to the forum. Now that a few days have past like steve said. It's time to ask, Are'nt all your cards supposed to be on the table?. So as your forum name AAupmysleave "upmysleave" would suggest cheating?. is that not the case. lol. Freerollbird
