Temper, Temper, Temper Rampage... I know it must be hard on Rampage to look Rashad in the eyes after Rashads team delivered another victory, but taking his frustration out on the door is something a child does when they don't get their way. Will this be a clean sweep for Rashads team or is Rampages last hope going to deliver for him next week?
The fight tonight was a great stand-up knock down drag out brawl. I loved the last 30 seconds of the 1st round when the fighters could not even raise their arms after all the throws they thrown. I found myself laughing out loud at how winded those two guys were, but they sure gave it their all and didn't stop throwing. The judges decision I believe was the correct decision in giving the win to Mike.

I think that last last fighter on Team Rampage is going to get them a win.
I cant stand Rashad Evans but he has done a better job of coaching than Rampage. I want to see Kimbo fight again myslef. Im sure they will give him a fight on the finale even if he doesnt get another fight in the house.

Congratulations Rampage for you first victory. At least you were not completely shut out, though I was routing for you to lose. Marcus "Big Baby" showed that even a beast of a man can have a good ground game. That arm bar came out of nowhere. Great fight for Marcus, but not for the fans....wanted to see some more action, 30 seconds was not long enough. Now he has to fight "titties", that is going to be another quick fight.

Griffin has the size and reach advantage and he will push the pace of this fight. Tito will not be use to the pace, the size and the pressure that Griffin will push in this fight. Betting wise I love the lines for he favorite and at +165, I think this is a very good bet to make on Griffin. Forrest will stay outside of Tito shot attempts and pick Ortiz out with his jabs. Griffin will pick apart Tito with his striking and has developed enough skills to avert any of Tito shot attempts.

800 Takanori Gomi vs +676 Sergey Golyaev

No other sports betting upset was as big as when former top pound for pound fighter Takanori Gomi lost at Sengoku 6 to Sergey Golyaev. Golyaev already had 5 loses and he was not expected to come close to beating the highly ranked Gomi but he ended up winning a split decision. That fight was probably the biggest upset in MMA history next to Georges St Pierre`s lose to Matt Serra at UFC 69 – Shootout.

Wagnney Fabiano (-825) vs. Mackens Semerzier (+535) WEC 43..... Especially insane cause a unknown triangle chocked Fabiano the highly praised blackbelt.

I would like to see Penn take this. I think Diego is a cry baby haha. They are both great fighters but, I am taking Penn on this one. Then I have Mir over Kongo, Fitch over Pierce and I would like to see Guida take out Florian.

If you were at the company Christmas party Saturday night and missed UFC 107, here are the betting results.

B.J. Penn retained his Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight title with a big win against Diego Sanchez at the FedExForum in the main event of UFC 107.

Penn won as a -265 favorite.

He systematically took Sanchez apart, inflicting huge amounts of damage before stopping Sanchez at 2:37 of the fifth round.

On the undercard, Frank Mir, the former UFC heavyweight champion, took on Cheick Kongo.

Mir, the -210 favorite, used his punching power to win the bout in just 72 seconds.

In perhaps the most anticipated fight other than the main event, Kenny Florian rebounded form his loss to Penn in the main event of UFC 101 by choking out Clay Guida at 2:19 of the second round.

In the pay-per-view opener, Stefan Struve won a majority decision over Paul Buentello in a heavyweight fight.

The early lines for UFC 110’s main bouts have been made available by our sponsors at BetUS-com. The event isn’t set to jump off for another 10 days so the lines are likely to change as game time approaches, but let’s just tease our gambling taste buds anyway:

Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic (-150) vs. Ben Rothwell (+120)
Ryan Bader (-150) vs. Keith Jardine (+120)
George Sotiropoulos (+220) vs. Joe Stevenson (-300)
Wanderlei Silva (-150) vs. Michael Bisping (+120)
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (-120) vs. Cain Velasquez (-110)

A relaxed Dan Hardy joked with reporters Thursday while champion Georges St-Pierre, his game face on, talked of butterflies and nerves.

The weight of expectations is all on the Canadian title-holder, who is seen as a must-win at UFC 111 Saturday night in Newark, N.J. Hardy is a huge underdog hoping to prove his doubters wrong.

"Well I've got nothing to lose," the English challenger said at a well-attended media workout. "I'm in a great situation where I can just go into the fight, be myself and take the fight to Georges. He's in a situation where he has to win and if he doesn't win, that's going to really tarnish his career."

UFC action continues this weekend, and a championship will be put on the line when Anderson Silva takes on Demian Maia in the octagon.

Silva is a heavy favorite on UFC 112 odds. “The Spider” comes in at -875 odds at the Bodog sportsbook. Maia, meanwhile, earns underdog status with +575 odds.

Anderson Silva has won 11 consecutive fights, but none were as impressive as his last outing. Silva absolutely destroyed Forrest Griffin at UFC 101. Say what you will about Griffin’s abilities or technique but, if there’s one thing he boasts, it’s willpower. The guy is anything but a quitter—and Silva made him quit.

Demian Maia is 12-1 in his MMA career. He’s coming off a unanimous decision against Dan Miller at UFC 109; that followed up his only career loss, a knockout at the heavy hands of Nate Marquardt at UFC 102.

The Anderson Silva vs. Demian Maia middleweight championship fight began with a bang, as Silva launched an all-out assault on Maia. But outclassing Maia soon became classless in the eyes of many; Silva whined and taunted Maia when he wouldn’t go on the offensive, allowing “The Spider” to mount a vicious counter attack. The last 2.5 rounds of the fight become a real snooze with Silva eventually prevailing. It is rumoured he’ll fight Georges St. Pierre next, which should be interesting—fans were already chanting “GSP” during Silva’s scrap with Maia.

In the other title fight, Frankie Edgar scored a surprising upset over BJ Penn to earn the lightweight championship. Although the unanimous decision surprised many observers, it seems most critics agree Edgar deserved the title. Simply brining Penn to the ground a few times was more than impressive.

There used to be a time when every Saturday afternoon boxing fans could turn to ABC and watch the weekend’s best fights. Then, pay-per-view was born and boxing matches became “free” no longer. In order to see the best boxers in the world, you had to not only buy cable but you had to subscribe to the pay-per-view boxing match.

Dana White and UFC have always used the pay-per-view way of presenting their fights. Their closest rivals, Strikeforce, will be going back to those simpler days where the best fights were free to American viewers.

Strikeforce will broadcast their Nashville event, appropriately named Strikeforce Nashville, this Saturday night on CBS. It’s a huge opportunity for Strikeforce to break some of the links in the UFC chain around MMA. It’s also a great opportunity for MMA to become even more popular in the United States.

Here’s a preview to help you bet on Strikeforce Nashville in the BetUS sportsbook.
