If Diego will make it, its gonna be a new hope for all shorter tennis players, because now we have tall tennis player era.. maybe Diego can prove it wrong

Venus Williams reached a lot of milestones

WHAT IT MEANS: Williams, the oldest player remaining in either singles draw, has already guaranteed that she will finish the year with more Grand Slam victories than anyone else on the WTA Tour - Tuesday’s victory over Kvitova added to one of the more remarkable seasons in recent memory.
Thursday’s semifinal will be Williams’ 23rd at a major, which puts her in sole possession of fifth place in the category since the WTA was formed in 1973.
Williams will also re-enter the Top 5 in the rankings for the first time since January of 2011 by virtue of advancing to the final four in New York for the first time in seven years. The American can reach as high as No. 2 in the world if she goes onto win her third US Open title, and first since 2001.
The semifinal on the bottom half of the draw will be the first All-American semifinal since 2002, as Williams will take on Sloane Stephens, who beat No. 16 Anastasija Sevastova in another intense third-set tiebreak by an identical 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 margin. The two Americans have only met once, with Stephens securing a straight-sets victory over Williams in the first round of Roland Garros two years ago.

Game preview : QF round in Us Open event, a lot of superb players have already left tournament, but great and most motivated players are still here. In this match two very talented and nice to watch players will meet. Juan Martin and Roger Federer will meet for 22nd time. QF have already secured 470,000 $ and 360 points.

Let's talk about players :

Juan Martin Del Potro (28) – Player from Argentina, who really likes all surfaces, but best quality tennis he shows on fast courts, today he will play on hard fast court, so we can expect he will show some good tennis. Juan is very tall player, almost two metres height helps him to serve much better and catch every lob volley over his head. Argentinian is mostly known for very good sportsmanship, his kindness on court, of course he is also very good player, with a lot of talent and good tennis play. Juan best qualities on court is strong serve, very flat forehand and his strategy, he is also not afraid of serve and volley. 14/7 score on hard court doesn’t look like he is very good player, but there are reason, he still trying to make his comeback to safe and normal tennis after injury, he don’t need to rush it, so he plays not so often. We can remember year before he got injured and Juan had 30/9 score on hard courts.

Roger Federer (3) - Maestro is still in very good shape this year, coming back to top 4 was big goal and he made it, now becoming No.1 in world is near to. While Andy is not playing, Roger will become no.2 for sure. It is like time machine for us, then Roger and Rafa was in the top. Maestro started this tournament with struggles, but he won win ,we believe he is in good shape, he just need more time, at the end like now he reached best shape for this tournament. Some people says Roger is better than few years, we can agree with it. Player from Switzerland plays very good tennis, he is still enjoyning it and playing like fresh player, but with all experience he is even more dangerous. Don‘t forget after long years waiting he already won two Grand Slam titles this year. Hunting for No.1 he will play even better than usual, it is his dream we can say, to be once more no.1.

What to expect today : Well, both players are different, but both very talented. They met a lot of times before, they both had won Us Open tournament, so they will play with all heart and power left. Both players going to win at least on set.
