The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has fixed the dates of some of the key tournaments in the 2014 schedule. The 45th WSOP Main Event will have three starting days: Saturday, July 5; Sunday, July 6; and Monday, July 7.

The November Nine will be known at the end of the Main Event’s grueling 10 day marathon on July 14.

The series will open on May 27 and the opening weekend will include the $1500 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em “Millionaire Maker” which guarantees that the winner will become an instant millionaire.

Sunday, June 29 sees the return of the tournament that put Antonio Esfandiari straight to the top of the all time money list—The “Big One for ONE DROP.” This is the charity event founded by Guy Laliberté to raise money for his One Drop organization. The Canadian Billionaire set the buyin at a barely credible $1m. The field is capped at 56 and after the first event’s success two years ago, it is likely to be a sell out.

The entry level “Little One for ONE DROP“ will be more accessible requiring players to come up with a more manageable $1,111 buyin, though unlimited re-entries are offered through the first four levels. The inaugural event in 2013 attracted 4,756 players with charitable instincts and an eye on a first place prize that exceeded $663k. The overall prize pool exceeded $4.3 million.

The 2012 WSOP saw 79,471 entrants and $197m distributed in prize money—a record in the 44 year history of the series.

Events take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas which will be setting up a special poker room of almost 500 tables to cater for the series.

The remaining dates in the schedule will be announced in January.
