General Tips:
When you are ahead in the backgammon race, Break contact and bank on your racing advantage.
When trailing in a race it's a mistake to give up an anchor or a holding point. It may be your only lifeline.
When trailing in a race and you are waiting for a shot, slot and build the checkers in your home board in order.
If you estimate you have a 25% chance of winning - accept a double.
Fight for equality early in the game. Fight for the 5pt and 4pts on both sides of the game board.

A very comprehensive site Admin. Wish I had had access to that kind of site when I first started. I think a great many folk are probably easily put off by the game thinking it is very complicated but the guide seems to have everything required to make learning the game easy.

The online backgammon website Play65 has recently launched a new promotion in favor of its Israeli players. All through the month of March, Play65 will host a series of online backgammon tournaments. The Grand Finala will take place on March 31, 2008; the winner will be declared Israel's backgammon champion and will fly, on Play65 expense, to the prestigious European backgammon event 2008 Portuguese Open.
