Paddy is a funny bookmaker. I once was waiting long as hell for settling a bet (tiny one in terms of amount). And on the next bet when i hit a tenis winner with odds around 4 i got limited everywhere for few euros per bet and such things.

Hey, I will share some my experiences with paddy. Around 3 months ago I have opened account in this bookie and deposited 3000euros for a start. I have placed some tennis bets on 2 different games and luckily both players won, then problems start to me. The 1st game I put more money they keep pending, and the other one they settled normally as a winner. I entered live support on chat hundreds of times, but all the time they keep saying it is an issue with settlement team and support assistant can really know the reason why it is pending etc.

Hello all, be very careful of this company I had a football treble and all three were winning and then I saw that the bet had been cashed out. There is no way that I cashed out these bets and I immediately rang paddy-power who stated there was nothing they could do. As a result I lost a considerable amount of money. Be very careful as you have no recourse in these circumstances and paddy-power is the only bookie who has no enquiry process in these matters.

They was 20 mins behind saying the game was 25 mins in when it was acutely 43 mins in. Causing all half time bets to be pointless. £40 well wasted and they refuse to resolve. Bottom line don't touch them with a 10 foot badge pole

Creative Switch… Paddy Power drops Lucky Generals for Chime Sports

Paddy Power has ended its four-year relationship with London marketing agency Lucky Generals, as the bookmaker’s lead creative agency.

UK marketing news sources report that Lucky Generals chose not to re-pitch its services for the account, which had been placed under review by Paddy Power marketing during 2017.

Moving forward, Paddy Power’s multi-million £/€ advertising account will be serviced by sports-centric creative agency Chime Sports Marketing, a subsidiary of Chime Group Communications.

Operating as Paddy Power’s lead creative agency since 2013, Lucky Generals has developed a number of popular high coverage campaigns for the bookmaker including; ‘Too Fruity’, ‘Rainbow Laces’ and current advertising drive ‘You Beauty’.

Following the 2016 merger of Paddy Power and Betfair, Lucky Generals would be kept as lead creative agency for the enlarged enterprise, working alongside Mediacom as the group’s media planning & buying agency.

In 2016, Lucky Generals developed Betfair’s latest advertising campaign ‘Ready?’. At present, it has been reported that Betfair will maintain its relationship with Lucky Generals as its creative strategy lead.

Bookmaker Paddy Power pay out on Philippe Coutinho transfer to Barcelona

Coutinho remains very much a Liverpool player - but that hasn't stopped the bookmaker paying out on a potential transfer to Barcelona

Philippe Coutinho remains very much a Liverpool player, despite the intense speculation - but that hasn't stopped one bookmaker paying out already on a transfer to Barcelona.

The Liverpool playmaker has once again been heavily linked to a move to Barca, with the Brazil international's future the subject of almost hourly updates.

Barcelona are yet to revive their summer interest in the form of a formal offer on the table, but bookmaker Paddy Power have decided to pay out on Coutinho 's potential switch to the Nou Camp.

Despite no offer arriving so far this month, Paddy Power have decided to cough up on bets tipping Coutinho to leave in the winter window.

A spokesman for Paddy Power said: "It’s clearly time for a Nou start for Philippe, as he puts the ‘out’ into Coutinho.

"Liverpool tried to play hardball, but Barcelona play tiki-taka - and I know which I prefer."

Manager Jurgen Klopp was asked for an update in his Thursday press conference .

He said: "Look, all the things I could say now would only create stories. You write them anyway!

"I have nothing to say about it. That's how it is. It's a transfer window, but that's all.

"I know that means I've already opened the door half way, because I mentioned the transfer window. But there is nothing to say.

"Nothing I could say now would help me, the player or the club. That's the only thing I'm interested in.

"Whatever you can 'consider' is not my cup of tea. It sounds harsh to say, but I am not interested in that, sorry!

"Maybe 80% of the cameras are only here for this so that's a waste of time!"

However, Klopp did say that while Coutinho is injured for Friday's FA Cup visit from Everton, the No.10 could be available for the game against Manchester City at Anfield in 10 days.

Paddy Power tests VAR promotions

In recent months the debate surrounding Video Assistant Refereeing (VAR) has encompassed English football and with the FA cup returning to our screens this weekend, the debate looks set to recommence.

In a recent interview with SBC, Jeevan Jeyaratnam Head of Compilation at Betting data and tailored odds specialist Abelson Info predicted that it was “highly likely that some of the UK operators will offer VAR concessions as a sweetener to offset any potential punter antipathy towards in-play wagers.”

And this weekend, Paddy Power have proved him right, offering a VAR money back special to new and existing customers with registered Paddy Power accounts, that bet on the FA Cup 5th round games which feature VAR, namely Chelsea v Hull and Huddersfield v Man United.

If a punter backs a first or anytime goalscorer, and it is ruled out because of VAR, the firm will pay out bets in full within 15 minutes of the goal being disallowed.

A spokesman for Paddy Power said: “Whether you’re of the belief that VAR ruins or saves the beautiful game, we don’t care, we’re paying out on it.

“That way, when Lukaku finally scores after 20 attempts on goal against Huddersfield, and it’s ruled out, at least Man United fans will have full pockets.”

Marketing & Brand Director Michelle Spillane added: “Paddy Power’s objective here is to bring our brand personality to a contentious topic – VAR.

“We knew a lot of football fans were frustrated at losing out when a goal was disallowed. So we thought, why not turn it on its head?

“So we decided to pay out on any first or anytime goalscorer that was thwarted by VAR in this weekend’s cup games.

Paddy Power – Brexit Chaos could see May out in the cold this March

Prime Minister Theresa May, faces threats from all sides, as she tries to negotiate the UK’s breakaway from the European Union.

This week’s release of the first draft of the EU’s Brexit agreement with the UK was supposed to mark a breakthrough for PM May’s negotiating team. Instead it appears that May is on a collision course with Brussels, as the EU chooses to ignore a number of key demands made by May.

EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier has further warned May that there is no guarantee on any transition deal, should the UK choose not to adhere to European Court rulings on trade and commerce.

At home, rumours continue to circulate of a rebel Tory MP faction threatening to remove May from 10 Downing Street, while support from the DUP is under threat over suggestions of a hard Irish border.

This constant Brexit chaos has seen Paddy Power Politics move to cut the odds of a 2018 UK General Election to 2/1 from 3/1.

Updating its UK political markets, Paddy Power now makes it more likely that May will be removed as Tory leader within the next month (3/1 from 4/1), and furthermore that the DUP will rescind its support for the Conservative government (5/2).

The Irish bookmaker now places staunch Brexiteer Jacob Rees-Mogg as the favourite to succeed May (4/1), ahead of Jeremy Corbyn (11/2) and Boris Johnson (8/1).

Paddy Powers final political update, sees a second EU Referendum taking place in the UK this year at 5/1 from 7/1. Commenting on UK politics, Spokesman Paddy Power said: “Theresa May’s time as PM has been a constant case of one step forward followed by several steps backwards – and that’s just her political viewpoints.

“The pressure is ramping up on May, and the odds are shortening that she’ll be ousted, prompting another General Election and – likely – another Brexit Referendum.

“Jacob Rees-Mogg is the favourite to succeed her, despite appearing to have no soul.”

Paddy Power Betfair seeks new CFO as Alex Gersh calls time as group financial lead

The Sunday Times has this weekend reported that Paddy Power Betfair Chief Financial Officer Alex Gersh has signalled his intention to depart the FTSE100 betting group’s executive leadership team.

The governance of Paddy Power Betfair is reported to have begun its executive search for Gersh’s replacement as group financial leader. Gersh will maintain the executive role with until his replacement is found.

Joining Betfair Plc in 2012 from digital payment services provider NDS Cisco, Gersh played a pivotal part in revitalising Betfair’s corporate strategy following its post-2011 IPO performance decline.

Working alongside former Paddy Power Betfair CEO Breon Corcoran (2012-2017), Gersh played a fundamental role in redeveloping and repositioning Betfair’s product strategy, turning the company into a ‘UK tech darling’.

Furthermore, as Betfair CFO, Gersh was a key stakeholder in 2015’s £5.5 billion merger with Paddy Power, creating the FTSE’s outright leading firm in online gambling.

Gersh’s next arrangements remain unknown, nevertheless, his shrewd financial management and strategy of Betfair, have placed amongst the top technology-centric CFOs.

The replacement of Gersh as Group CFO will be seen as another early test for new Paddy Power Betfair Chief Executive Peter Jackson, who this January took official leadership of the betting group.

In his first actions as Group CEO, Jackson has restructured the firm’s senior executive team, appointing Dan Taylor as European Chief Executive. In addition, Jackson has mad promoted Aine Flanagan to Group Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) focusing on maximising shareholder returns and Johnny Hartnett to Group Chief Development Officer focusing on international growth opportunities.

Peter Jackson – ‘Paddy Power will return to growth’

Presenting his first trading updating as Paddy Power Betfair (PP😎 Group Chief Executive Peter Jackson has prioritised ‘returning growth to Paddy Power operations’.

Updating investors on a successful full-year 2017 performance, in which PPB outperformed its market expectations, Jackson sets a high bar for PPB executives in 2018.

Jackson praised PPB development teams for delivering the group’s combined platform system this January, which PPB governance details as the ‘final piece of the merger integration’.

“The platform technology will give us scale, and help tackle the demands of being an effective multi-territory operator”, Jackson stated.

Whilst PPB continues to progress on its international ambitions, within the Australian (Sportsbet.com.au) and US markets (Betfair US), Jackson outlines European priorities, primarily focusing on returning growth to Paddy Power.

“For the group to achieve its long-term targets, it’s imperative that Paddy Power returns to growth. It has faced a number of headwinds in the last couple of years, but remains a great brand that can dominate mass markets”.

Jackson presents a breakdown of PPB’s ‘online revenues by brand & product type for 2017’, in which Betfair’s sportsbook has generated double-digit growth against Paddy Power’s stagnated performance.

embeded-image

Taking on the challenge of revitalising Paddy Power, Jackson outlines four main action points for PPB executives to undertake;

* Rethinking of Paddy Power’s brand values and ambitions within a crowded European marketplace.

* Improving the overall Paddy Power product proposition, which has lagged behind Betfair standards following the merger. Jackson states that this will be significantly helped by the group platform.

* Revamping Paddy Power’s customer loyalty program. Jackson details that PPB will make a significant investment in retention and customer rewards for recreational players.

* Significantly increasing Paddy Power’s marketing coverage, which Jackson believes has been below the level needed to operate as a mass market brand.

“The most present and clear European market opportunity is in returning the Paddy Power brand back to growth. The brand is a key asset to the group. In a crowded marketplace, it has a distinct personality, there are few other brands I would choose to target saturated marketplaces. Paddy Power must return to being a mass market leader.”

Outlining PPB’s objectives, Jackson has appointed Dan Taylor, Chief Executive of PPB Europe as the man to lead Paddy Power’s recovery.

FSB and Paddy Power expand into Filipino market

Platform provider FSB Ltd has announced a deal to roll-out its first EPOS system in association with Paddy Power and Asian supplier Jade Entertainment and Gaming Technologies.

FSB will deploy its innovative platform and trading tools alongside the Irish bookmaker’s trading team in order to provide over the counter sports betting facilities to customers of Manila’s flagship Okada Casino Resort.

The touch-screen solution will be joined shortly by complementary consumer options on Jade’s proprietary self-service betting terminals, as well as hand-held point of sale devices, in the first of a number of similar co-operations across Asia.

FSB’s Business Development Director, Richard Thorp, said: “We are delighted to have teamed up with Paddy Power and Jade and look forward to a long, fruitful partnership. Our platform and trading tools have been very successful online and I’m confident they will be equally successful in land-based premises.”

Casino customers will be offered a number of different sports, both pre-match and in-play, allowing Okada’s PAGCOR-regulated operator to control and tailor the content management system to local needs.

FSB’s managed service provides its partners with an entire industry in a single platform. It includes a proprietary live sports betting platform, real-time algorithmic pricing models, and CRM tools for player segmentation and bonusing.
